Ted sat down at his computer and waited.

He pictured her boots as she walked to the counter, her lips as she sipped her skim vanilla latte, her pinky finger with its chipped polish gripping the outside of her change purse, her tight vagina....

The vagina he hadn't sampled yet, but he was certain it would be tight. And wet. For him. His zipper strained and he began to type:

So, honestly, my situation, did it freak you out? I want you to know that it's not as big a deal as it may sound for me. I could explain the whole thing in more detail sometime if you care, or I could never talk about it again, just curious about your take on it. Give me a shout when you've got a sec.

He paused. There was more to say:

Frankly, I think it should speak more of my character than of my current situation, but maybe it speaks of my character badly to you, I dont know... I would hope you can see that i'm a standup guy and that this the kind of thing I feel I need to address right up front. It would really come down to whether you feel I am sincere in my openness about it. There is obviously lots of story there, not the kind of story you can go into on a first coffee, but I think if we talked more about it, you would understand... I would like to talk about it. If you would like to talk.

Ted paused again. His heart pounded. He wrote:

I feel like I need some sort of reply so I know you are really there.

He hit send and set the egg timer on his desk.

"Oh my god!" In her office, on the other side of town, Rachel's assistant Jamie was glued to the computer screen. "Who is this fucking guy?!"

"Someone I met in Starbucks," Rachel replied. "I think he's a painter? I guess I gave him my business card."

"What the hell is he talking about?" asked Jamie.

Rachel leaned across Jamie's desk and scrolled through the email. "Huh. I don't really remember," she said. "Sounds serious though." As Rachel stood up, her hair grazed Jamie's nose, causing Jamie to sneeze and spray the keyboard.

"I am SO sorry," Jamie said, shaking her head and wiping the keyboard frantically with her sleeve. "I'm and idiot."

Rachel placed a reassuring hand over Jamie's. "You are so hot when you do that," she said.

Jamie looked up. "Really?" she asked.

Rachel nodded.

Jamie wiped her nose and turned to Rachel. "What are you gonna do about it?" she asked.

Rachel slipped her hand down the back of Jamie's shirt, unfastening her bra with a single flick. She pulled Jamie to her, unbuttoning the front of the shirt and lifting her bra at an agonizing speed.

"God," Jamie moaned. She was wet before they hit the floor.

Across town, the egg timer rang. Ted signed off of his computer, put on his blazer, pushed in his chair and ran at the window with all his might.

01/14/2005 Streifenbeuteldachs: This short has quality. I think "donned" would have worked better than "put on", though. I'm still curious about two things. a) What was the dude's situation? b) For how long was the egg timer set?
01/14/2005 TheBuyer: hot.
01/14/2005 TheBuyer (5): sorry, I mean, hot.
01/14/2005 The Rid (5): Does it matter how long the egg timer was set? It still rang.

01/14/2005 Ewan Snow (4): Solid four, maybe four plus. However, even though I enjoyed Rachel and Jamie lezzing out, I'm not sure it was the most effective way to end this one. I dunno. I did like the structure and the change of scene...
01/14/2005 Mr. Pony: I really like the dead-serious slapstick of this one.
01/14/2005 Dick Vomit (4): maybe author copied/pasted an actual email of his? hmm? i'll four this fucker.
01/14/2005 Litcube (4): 4.4. Nicely done. We haven't had any HLA on here for some time.
