I don’t know exactly at what time the power returned. I had apparently had a seizure at some point and lost all consciousness. Yet, it was the sound of the machine re-racking my pins not the smell of my tortured body collapsed into my own body fluids that woke me. To my delight the overhead board registered my previous roll and was displaying my current score, one strike away from 300, a perfect game. Energized, I rose from the floor and stood on hobbled foot to take my final approach. I stepped with confidence through the stench and the filth and as the ball left my hand, even without looking, I knew where it was heading…directly into the gutter. Fuck.

06/8/2005 Will Disney (4): Bravo new guest author. Your effort in bringing this three part epic is admirable. Who here cannot identify with hero here, waking up in a pool of his own bodily fluids? 4 stars.
06/8/2005 The Rid (4.5): Yay, Shane!

06/8/2005 Litcube (2.5): I don't know, dude. This did very little for me, and I've tried to see this from a few different angles (which required some work). Also, you could have compiled this into one short. But there is promise in you.
06/8/2005 Klause Muppet: I liked the ending. I also liked how you divided it into 3 parts (unlike litcube, my sworn nemesis). Made me look forward to today. Actually this is one of the first times I skipped the Home Page short and went directly to the Guest Shorts because I wanted to see how your story ended.
06/8/2005 Klause Muppet (4): On that note.
