06/15/2004 John Slocum (4): Fence guy has gone pastoral.
06/15/2004 John Slocum: Panel 2 - is that a cockatoo? Don't quite get what that is. Also, I love the way you indicated the man was slightly put out witht the sweat flying off his head in all directions and the expression.
06/15/2004 Mr. Pony (4): A charming twist on the tale of Leda and the Swan.
06/15/2004 Benny Maniacs (4): I enjoyed being in Matzaworld, if only briefly, but found the punchline hinging on the famed past of another Matzaworld.
06/15/2004 Ewan Snow (4): Woody Woodpecker rip-off.
06/15/2004 Will Disney: Yes - exquisite all right!
06/15/2004 anonymous: Slocum, the yellow bird is no cockatoo. I suspect you are interpreting its left wing as a crest? I can only chuckle at this preposterous mistake. In fact the fowl is facing sideways, wings outspread, & we are looking at it from above--it's about to land in the tree. As any urban ornithologist will tell you, this is a yellow Jonnybird.
06/15/2004 TheBuyer (5): fence guy always looks so focused.
06/15/2004 Ferucio P. Chhretan (4): Lovely.
06/15/2004 John Slocum: I suppose next you're going to tell me the red in the tree is a cardinal. Yellow Johnnybird indeed.
06/15/2004 James K. Polk (5): This cracked me up.
06/15/2004 scoop (4): That birder certainly got a big surprise!
06/16/2004 Jimson S. Sorghum (4): Hey, this is vaguely Clowes-ish.
