"There is little hope of ever making filthy each clean new Now," suggested Leslie.
"Why won't you make love to me?" asked Louis.
"It doesn't matter, remember what I told you. 'Making love,' as you put it, is just rubbing parts together."
"Yeah, but the hole, H-O-L-E, is greater than the sum of the parts."

"How clever!" exclaimed Leslie as she unbuttoned her blouse.

"Let's make love," suggested Louis.
"It won't matter," said Leslie. "'Making love,' as you put it, is just rubbing parts together."

"There is little hope of ever making filthy each clean new Now," Leslie said mournfully, unbuttoning her blouse.
01/13/2005 Ewan Snow: Well the last line of the original is not quite right, but I sort of like the idea that Louis' finger humping changes Leslie's mind, which I guess your edit preserves. I don't know, I think I still like the clean new now line first. Maybe Leslie just should unbutton her blouse without saying anything...
