I'd been tasked with streamlining submission procedures for GYMP-10 invoices by end of business last Thursday. The problem was that Sales Reps had been forced to vet GYMPs with up to three layers of management (depending, of course, on the Rep's Cost Center, Exempt Status and Pay Code). Management's thinking was that normalizing the procedures across Cost Centers would incent our sales Reps to penetrate new markets they would otherwise have written off as overly funded.
As you can imagine, this was a data gathering nightmare, and recent events sure weren't making it any easier. I know I wasn't the only one who got stung by wireless network failure with last week's whole Opening of the Skies situation. Worse, this alliance of the Twelve Kingdoms we saw so much of on the news would mean a complete re-write of industry compliance codes, and I couldn't even begin to sort out how many bodies we'd lost to the so-called Reckoning & Totaling deal. For those of us Left Behind, it was ramping up to be a real busy year, and not necessarily in a good way.

01/21/2005 Ewan Snow (4): Time-lapse thunderclaps, perhaps apocalypse...
01/21/2005 Will Disney (4): This is a 3.5. It's looks like a qualcomm sweat-job.
01/21/2005 anonymous: Qualcomm's a twerp.
01/21/2005 anonymous: Yes.
01/21/2005 Cyrus (4): Relax author after the industry compliance codes are re written everything will get simpler.
01/21/2005 Jon Matza (4): A qc ripoff or qc phoning in a retread? Luckily it's a zweiback schtick in the first place, worth recycling. Consequently this meets industry compliance codes.
01/21/2005 The Rid (4): Dry. Nicely dry.
01/21/2005 Streifenbeuteldachs (4): I liked it well enough, but not "in that way".
01/21/2005 Pusher Robot: The qualcomm robot is malfunctioning. Shoving will protect you.
01/21/2005 TheBuyer: my fucking head hurts.
01/21/2005 TheBuyer (3): That new testament ending is what rounds this down, even though it might be what rounded it up for someone else.
01/21/2005 Jimson S. Sorghum (4): I like-like this.

01/24/2005 qualcomm: hey disney, you voted twice! i take back what i said about not abusing your power.
01/27/2005 John Slocum (3): Agree with TheBuyer here, liked this until it curved. Normally I enjoy a good curveball, and QC (Hi Honey!) is great at making the ball drop just when the batter thinks the baseball is in his 'wheel house' and he's about to smash one deep. This time, however, the batter didn't swing and pitch dropped for a ball low and away. Basically, I think this could have worked better if there had been no curve ball!
