06/10/2004 Jon Matza: This one seems bound to not go over well, or am I mistaken? Seems a bit unfair this kind of early/experimental thing should count toward authors "cum. average". Am I speaking out of place, author?
06/10/2004 Ewan Snow: No I was thinking the same thing. I still like this, but it seems to have lost its lustre. It was written in '96 when Lerpa and I were slinging cream in Albany. At the time, the word "beastly" seemed very suprising and funny. Lerpa, what do you think?
06/10/2004 Will Disney: yeah, it does seem that some of these historical shorts are being rated on without consideration for historical context. there are only 9 more shorts w/o any comments at all on them. i'll probably switch to a system where we shown a random historical short with a small number of comments...
06/10/2004 qualcomm: if you could record your voice to show how it's supposed to be read, i think the community might respond positively
06/10/2004 Will Disney: yes - do that!
03/29/2005 John Slocum (3): Wow, 24 words, what economy (hint-hint, rally, rally folks).
03/31/2005 John Slocum: wow, I love seeing this on the home page thrice weekly (hint-hint, rally - RALLY FOLKS).
03/31/2005 Ewan Snow: DISNEY!!!!! What the F? Please change the historic shorts feature as soon as possible.
03/31/2005 qualcomm (4): i think this is dandy. it'd be better if it were uttered by a character in a short, but what the hell. also, the short's title implies an attribution of beastliness to one man, simile blane. when you used to say this, i always thought 'man' referred to mankind, which in my opinion makes it funnier. no?
03/31/2005 TheBuyer (3): 3 plus.
03/31/2005 Ewan Snow: I dunno.
03/31/2005 qualcomm: this 'short' hones in on a very obscure tonal/thematic cliche. that is worth something, dammit.
03/31/2005 TheBuyer: you're right. author I owe you half a star.
