Monday morning cigarette smoke filled the frigid interior of Michelle’s rusted out Volvo. She rolled through the stop sign near the back entrance and into the parking lot. The ride wasn’t long enough to get the car heated up and she shivered as she climbed out onto frost-covered asphalt.
