“But I feel happy,” Cindy beamed smiling ear to ear. She had been at The Center for several months now and felt healed. “I sense the glow.”
“But it’s what’s on the inside that counts,” said The Counselor pulling out a ceremonial stainless steel butcher knife that glinted cinematically in the well placed light.
After the first couple of slashes he knew she was lying. The Counselor clawed through the muck. “Damn!” he exulted. The Counselor prided himself on customer satisfaction. No happiness, no sunshine, no glow. There was nothing in there but her guts and entrails.
He needed to rethink his business model.

03/10/2004Jon Matza: Both shorts this morning are concerned with charcters that may or may not glow. What does it mean? Like the short OK, but shocked/saddened by the misuse of 'exulted'.
03/10/2004Craig Lewis (3): The inside/inside pun-joke is a bit Catskills for my taste, but the punchline -- that is to say, the short's ultimate sentence -- is tip-top.
03/10/2004Will Disney (4): yeah - i like this one. FOUR STARS - how you like that, feldspar?
03/10/2004qualcomm (3): eh.
03/10/2004scoop (5): I see your four stars Disney and raise it! Reap the whirlwind, Feldy. Reap it.
03/10/2004Dylan Danko (2): Not really
03/10/2004Mr. Pony (4): Yes, I've been to one of these places, and that's pretty much what they do.
